What The Bloggers Think:

What’s most impressive about Zackham’s screenplay is not just that it avoids the ‘push-button’ tear-jerk scenes, but the way in which he actually predicts your expectation of those scenes. (Does that make sense?) In one key scene, we fully expect some sort of tearful reunion — but instead we get one of the main characters explaining that such a “Hallmark moment” could never happen. The movie’s just a little bit smarter than one would expect from a typical two-hanky older-crowd-pleaser.

It was a short movie, yet sweet throughout. It really told the story of this strong friendship, and really drove home the point that life isn’t over until it’s over. You can still accomplish, love, make friends, and laugh it up until your very last moment. Would I see it again? Maybe on HBO, and maybe starting from the middle.
But You Don’t Look Sick

Over the weekend I went to see the movie Bucket List. No deep thinking was required; it was just a “feel good, appreciate life” kind of movie. The premise of the movie is that 2 old guys find out they have less than a year to live, so they make a list of all the things they want to do before they “kick the bucket.”
Thinking About Learning

We went and saw the movie “The Bucket List”. Personally I really (as an older guy) found it to be despressing! The movie ended on a sad note, which actually left me in tears - and I found Steve giving me a big hug. As we walked out - many of the people were still sitting in their seats wiping the tears from their eyes - it was an emotional and moving film - but truly one that depressed me, as I think about retiring and getting older.
Our View On Superior

This is an enjoyable feel-good movie about kicking the bucket. The message is one that considers the meaning of life, the measure of a person and the importance of vital living. Nothing gets your ass in gear like your own mortality and this movie uses dyin’ to teach us about livin’! I give this film a 7/10 and would recommend it as an inspirational drama.
